Weekend Update: May 30-June 1

The N.C. Junior Beef Roundup takes place Saturday and Sunday in the Graham Building. The event is coordinated by a group of juniors from all over the state, their breed advisers, the Purebred Breeders Council, the N.C. Cattlemen’s Association and the N.C. State University  4-H and Youth Livestock Department. The livestock show includes steer and breed shows, a showmanship competition, skill development and leadership development activities. Event competitions begin at 7:30 a.m. on both days.

The Capital Dressage Classic will take place at the Hunt Horse Complex this weekend.

 

The Capital Dressage Classic equestrian competition will be held in the Hunt Horse Complex from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The event is free for spectators.

At the Old North State Antique Gun and Military Collector Show, antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia will be exhibited, bought, sold and traded. This event also includes relics, books, uniforms, insignias and free appraisals. Visitors can find items from World War I, World War II, Civil War, Vietnam War and other conflicts. This event will take place in the Scott Building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults, $1 for children ages 7 to 12 and free for children age 6 and under.
