If you find yourself perusing the flea market this weekend, you might also encounter some jewelers, bottle enthusiasts and horseback riders on the fairgrounds.
The Gem, Jewelry and Bead Show will be held in the Scott Building. Dealers will present their finest gems and jewels, including shark teeth, rare minerals and fossils. This show is put on by Frank Cox Productions, which has been touring the Southern U.S. this season. Admission to the show is free and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Raleigh Bottle Club will be showing its collection of antique bottles and collectibles on Saturday in the Martin Building. Vendor collections feature bottles of all shapes, sizes and ages. Members meet once a month to learn about, get appraisals and trade their historical vessels. Visit this show Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; admission is $3.
The North Carolina Arabian Horse Association is hosting its Summer Extravaganza, an open breed horse show, at the Hunt Horse Complex. Saturday will feature the Sport Horse Show, and the Dressage Show will be on Sunday. Admission is free and Saturday show times are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday show times are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
