We’re starting our weekend update a little earlier this week, and we’re sure many little girls and boys will be excited to hear about the Pet A Pony Day event happening Thursday in conjunction with this week’s horse show.
Join us this weekend in the Hunt Horse Complex for the North Carolina Hunter Jumper Association annual show. Admission is free, and the show will run from June 26-30. Each day’s festivities begin at 8 a.m., so don’t miss an opportunity to see the horse jumping show excitement.
Thursday is Pet A Pony Day, where people can pet ponies and learn about horse health and care. Interested attendees will also have the chance to watch the jumping show and see a farrier, a horse-shoer, at work. The events will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and are in conjunction with the N.C. State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Session I of the Boy Scouts of America’s Cub Scout day camp will come to a close on Thursday, and session II will kick off on Friday in the Harrill Center.
