
The fairgrounds will host dozens of vintage vehicles up for auction, like this 1974 Alpha GTV2000.
This is a big weekend for horse and car lovers at the fairgrounds. Here’s a list of upcoming events:
- The Classic Car Auction is Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Graham Building and the Exposition Center. The event will feature four private collections offering over 250 vintage vehicles. The public has the option to preview the cars Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. before the auction begins. Adult admission is $10 per day, or $15 for a weekend pass. Admission for ages 12 and under is $5 per day or $7 for a weekend pass.
- The North Carolina Arabian Horse Association Open Summer Extravaganza runs Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Hunt Horse Complex will host three shows over the course of the weekend. There will be an open show in the main ring on both Saturday and Sunday, a one-day sport horse show and a one-day dressage show in the outdoor rings. Admission is free for all spectators.

- The Raleigh Flea Market is Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Commercial and Education buildings and outdoor grounds. Shoppers can expect to find comics, collectibles, baked goods and everything in between.
