
The 2016 Natsu Matsuri, or Summer Festival, at the N.C. Japan Center.
- The Japanese Summer Festival is Saturday in the Scott Building. The event will feature traditional festival-type street food and drinks. There will also be a variety of entertainment, such as bon odori dancing, taiko drums, a Japanese choir and other musicians and Japanese martial arts demonstrations. Japanese-interest groups will host tables with games for children, arts and crafts displays and goods for sale. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and up. Event hours are 1 to 8 p.m.
- The Raleigh Summer Dressage I and II Show is Saturday and Sunday in the Hunt Horse Complex. The show will have dressage under saddle classes at all levels. There will be Intro to the Grand Prix and Sport Horse in-hand competition both days. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free for all spectators.
- The Raleigh Flea Market is Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Commercial and Education buildings and outdoor grounds. Come by to shop at one of the largest flea markets in the southeast, with hundreds of vendors selling unique products.
