Sports card and comic collectors will convene at Fairgrounds
Sports Card, Memorabilia & Comic Con
Sports Card, Memorabilia & Comic Con will feature more than 80 exhibitors that buy, sell and trade vintage to new sports cards, memorabilia and comics on more than 225 tables. Featured autograph guests include UNC Tar Heel and 2005 National Champion Melvin Scott, racing legend and 2015 NASCAR Hall of Fame Inductee Rex White, former Major League Baseball pitcher and N.C. State Hall of Famer Mike Caldwell, 1974 World Series Champion Jim Holt and Barry Foote, who was the third overall pick in the 1970 MLB draft. Show hours are Friday, 2 to 7 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Scott Building. Admission is $5 daily and $7 for a weekend pass. Admission is free for ages 15 and younger. A discount admission coupon is available on the event website.
Also, be sure to check out the Raleigh Summer Dressage I & II Show. There will be dressage under saddle classes at all levels, an intro to Grand Prix class and a Sport Horse in-hand competition on both days. Hours are Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hunt Horse Complex – Barn E ring. Spectator admission is free.
