You’ll find hustle and bustle on the fairgrounds this weekend. There’s a lot going on you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget you have TWO more shopping weekends before Christmas to check out the one-of-a-kind items at The Raleigh Flea Market, open Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come check out hundreds of vendors in the Commercial and Education buildings and outside grounds. Bring your out-of-town-guests to one of the largest flea markets in the South. This market features something for everyone including military surplus, metal signs, outdoor items, antiques, collectibles, food, coins, used books, kitchenware, pet supplies, clothing boutiques and even a coffee shop.

- The Carolina Piedmont Dog Agility competition will take place Friday through Sunday at the Hunt Horse Complex. Judging starts at 8 a.m. daily. Watch as dogs of all breeds and their handlers compete for fastest times on obstacle courses with tunnels, weave poles, A-frames, see-saws and more.
- The Capital City Gun Show is Saturday and Sunday in the Graham Building. This is a buy, sell, trade event for guns, knives, ammo, hunting supplies and anything related to shooting sports. Hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for ages 12 and up. Saturday admission good for both days. - The Fiesta Navideña/Community Outreach Event is Saturday in the Holshouser Building. This event offers family information, children’s toys as well as health and other professional services. - The World’s Strongest Man, Woman & Masters Competition will be Saturday and Sunday in Dorton Arena. The event features 270 athletes, from 21 countries, including the current Masters World’s Strongest Man, Nick Best and arguably the strongest man to ever live, Zydrunus “Big Z” Savickas . Event also showcases World’s Strongest Woman Champion, Jill Mills, and World’s Strongest Man finalist and former America’s Strongest Man, Derek Poundstone. Weekend admission is $15 online or $20 at the door.
