
Classic cars will be on display this weekend in Dorton Arena
Calling all auto aficionados.
The North Carolina International Auto Expo starts Thursday in the Graham Building, Exposition Center and Dorton Arena. The 30th annual expo, presented by the Wake County New Vehicle Dealer Association, includes new production models and concept cars with car, truck and sports utility vehicle manufacturers on display. Fall in love with your car all over again at the Classic Car Display in Dorton Arena on Saturday and Sunday. Other special attractions include sheriff and highway patrol cars, a race car display and more. Concept and production models and event attractions are subject to change without notice. Hours are noon to 9 p.m on Thursday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m on Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults; $7 for over 60; $5 for ages 6-12 and free for under age six.

Collectibles and other one-of-a-kind treasures availabe weekends at the Fairgrounds Flea Market
Enjoy the spring-like temperatures while browsing the Raleigh Flea Market. Hours are Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Commercial and Education buildings and surrounding grounds. Come explore the hundreds of booths filled with antiques, clothes and handcrafted goods this weekend.
Triangle Delta Waterfowl 6th Annual Banquet will be held Friday in the Scott Building. The fundraiser includes dinner, annual membership, raffles, live band, and information on the conservation of North America’s wetlands and wildlife. Doors open 5:30 p.m. Event beings at 6:30. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 919-538-7874.
TICA Time Cat Show is Saturday and Sunday in the Holshouser Building. Show features 14 rings, including 12 All Breed and 2 Specialty. Show hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for ages seven and up or receive discount admission of $4 by bringing one can of cat or dog food for the animal shelter. Age six and under are admitted free.
Double L Bar Cowboy Mounted Shooters is Saturday and Sunday at the Hunt Horse Complex. Show begins each day at 9 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Double L Bar Shooters is a Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association sanctioned event featuring riders dressed in period and contemporary western costumes. Riders on horseback shoot balloons from their galloping horses in the main arena with six guns, rifles and shotguns using safety blanks. Combines shooting skill with horsemanship against the clock. No spectator admission charge for this event.
