With five distinctively different events, there is truly something for everyone at the fairgrounds this weekend. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday Inkfest Live: The Urban Tattoo Expo will be held in the Exposition Center. The event will feature tattoo artists from around the world showcasing their craft. Graffiti demonstrations, live musical performances and custom car and bike displays will also be included.

The popular Dixie Gun & Knife Classic will be held in the Graham Building on Saturday and Sunday. A wide variety of vendors will have antique and modern guns, hunting, camping and recreational equipment and military surplus items for buy, sell or trade.

The Carolina Mane Event Show Circuit will feature a variety of horse show styles in the Hunt Horse Complex on Saturday and Sunday. The event is the newest of its kind in North Carolina, and will feature riders with a range of experience.

The Raleigh Flea Market will be also open Saturday and Sunday. The weekly event has more than 600 vendors and is a great place to experience the best North Carolina has to offer.

About Tilt-A-Whirl

Jeff Miles interned for the N.C. State Fair in 2011. This is his bio from that year: People usually call me Jeff Miles but when asked what my favorite part of Fair was, rides was the first thing that came to mind--so call me Tilt-A-Whirl from here on out. I've always been a big fan of the State Fair and I'm really excited to be working here this summer. I'll be bringing you weekly updates on the goings on at the fairgrounds and hopefully much more. I can't wait to see you all in October (and hopefully before)!
