Weekend Update: Aug. 9 – 12

Learn about wellness at the Fairgrounds

If you or your children are intolerant to gluten and other food allergens, the Raleigh Gluten & Allergen Free Wellness Event may be the place for you this weekend. The event will feature presentations from experts in allergic living, free lectures, cooking demonstrations and product samples. A Kid’s Corner will be provided by Parents of Allergic Kids. Adult admission is $10, and admission for students, seniors and military members is $8. Admission is free for children younger than 13. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday in the Scott Building.

Vintage Market Days of the Triangle
Vintage Market Days presents Southern Charm, an upscale vintage-inspired market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, food, seasonal plantings and more. This event offers a unique opportunity for vendors to display their items and their talents. Hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Exposition Center. Admission is $15 for Friday, $10 for Saturday and $5 for Sunday. Tickets are available each day at the door. Discount advance ticket offers are available on Etix.

Southern Bridal Show and Expo
The Southern Bridal Show and Expo features 150 Triangle wedding experts  and wedding fashion previews featuring the latest trends in bridal wear and tuxeda.There will also be ultimate wedding one-stop shopping with fun, food and fashion previews every hour. Pre-registration and online discount tickets are available on the event website. Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Jim Graham Building. Admission is $10 per person – cash only – at the door and $8 for advance purchase. Admission is free for children 12 and younger.

UHC Youth Day Horse Show
Hours for the UHC Youth Day Horse Show are Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hunt Horse Complex. Spectator admission is free.

Carolina Paint Horse Show 
The Carolina Paint Horse Show begins at 8 a.m., Saturday and Sunday in the Hunt Horse Complex. Spectator admission is free.
