The popular Southern Ideal Home Show – Spring Edition returns this weekend to the Graham Building and Exposition Center. The show features hundreds of building, remodeling, kitchen and bath, landscaping, outdoor living and interior design companies. This three-day event provides homeowners with opportunities to shop, compare and seek advice from professionals and see the latest in home improvement trends. The show is convenient, one-stop shopping, and has set the standard as the “must-see” home and garden event of the year. Event hours are Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $9. Discount tickets are available at local Walgreens locations for $7. On Friday, ages 55-plus will be admitted for $7. Also Friday is Hero Day. Attendees with active and valid military, police, fire or EMT IDs will be admitted free.

Chatlee Boat Show & Sale starts Thursday in the Scott Building. Show features a boat for every budget and includes a large selection of saltwater, skiffs, ski and deck boards. Free admission. Hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Region 12 & 15 All-Arabian Horse Show is Friday through Sunday at the Hunt Horse Complex. Arabian-Half Arabian competition includes various events performance, halter, sport horse, dressage, hunter jumper and carriage driving. Free admission. Show starts daily at 8 a.m. and runs until 9 p.m.
Living-Deceased Estate/Absolute Auction is Saturday at the Martin Building. Items available include furniture, antiques, household and lawn and garden items. Free Admission. Cash, check, credit and debit cards accepted. Preview starts Saturday at 10 a.m. Auction starts at 4 p.m.
The Pipe and Tobacciana Expo is Saturday in the Holshouser Building. This expo includes multiple vendors showcasing both new and estate pipes plus pipe accessories as well as tobacco and tobacco samples from leading suppliers. Event hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
EPIC Cheerleading Spring Finale Classic is Saturday in Dorton Arena. Doors open at 1 p.m. and competition begins at 2 p.m. and features cheerleaders and dancers of all ages competing to win their age divisions and grand champion. Awards ceremony begins 8 p.m. Admission is $14 and children ages six to 12, military and ages 65-plus get in for $8.
Blackhawk and The Outlaws will play Dorton Arena on Sunday as part of the Professional Firefighters and Paramedics of NC Annual Fundraiser Concert. General Admission $28. Buy tickets online now or at the door beginning at 5 p.m. day of concert at the Dorton Arena Box Office. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
