The Southern Women’s Show returns to the Graham Building and Exposition Center this weekend. The show invites you to spend the day doing the things you love. Relax with spa treatments and makeovers, shop for clothes, jewelry and gifts, enjoy gourmet food and wine, discover travel ideas, get health screenings, or enjoy cooking classes, or a fashion show. Hours are Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for ages 6 to 12. Advance tickets available online for $10 or $8 at Walgreens locations. Friday and Saturday night special is $4 admission after 4 p.m.

Bargains, deals and one-of-a-kind finds will be at the Raleigh Flea Market this weekend. Check out the indoor vendors in the Commercial and Education Buildings and dozens more on the outside grounds. Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
NCSU Science Olympiad is Friday and Saturday in Dorton Arena. The opening ceremony is Friday at 5 p.m., with the awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Competitions will be held Saturday on campus at N.C. State University.
A geranium sale is Friday through Sunday at L.R. Harrill Center. The Pilot Club of Raleigh will be selling geraniums to raise money for its charity work.
The NCHJA “C” Outdoors Show is this weekend at the Hunt Horse Complex. This is a Hunter Jumper Horse Show with daily shows beginning at 8 a.m. Admission is free.
The North Central Open Benefit Show is also this weekend at the Hunt Horse Complex. This is an annual holiday classic open horse show with proceeds benefitting the Equestrian Western Club at NCSU and the North Central District 4-H Program. Check out the website for show times and admission.
The 6th annual N.C. Persian Festival is Saturday in the Scott Building. This event is a celebration of Persian culture and cuisine sponsored by Iranian Culture Society of N.C. The event features Persian dance performances, live music, art, food, cultural exhibits and displays, handicrafts, silent auction, children’s activity center and vendor exhibits. Event hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $2 or free for ages 6 and under.
Triangle Torch Arena Football will be Sunday in Dorton Arena. The Triangle Torch take on the Central PA Capitals at 4:05 p.m. Doors open at 2 p.m. Box seats are $18 for adults and $13 for children. General admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children. Season ticket packages are available.
