The Fairgrounds is excited that the 11th annual Wold Beer Festival will be in the Exposition Center and surrounding grounds this Saturday. More than 75 breweries will participate from all parts of the country. Attendees can sample from more than 250 beers in a variety of styles, along with a food truck rodeo, live entertainment, silent disco and more. Choose from two session times: noon to 4 p.m. or 6-10 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the door.

Other events:

J.Crew Warehouse Sale will be Friday through Sunday in the Holshouser Building.  Merchandise includes clothes and accessories from J.Crew, Madewell & Crewcuts. Some product may be of sample or second quality. All sales are final. Hours are Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Precious Gem & Mineral Show celebrates their 40th year this weekend in the Scott Building. This show is sponsored by the Tar Heel Gem & Mineral Club and includes 29 dealers. Dealers will provide minerals, fossils, finished jewelry, gemstones, findings and beads for sale. Event features demonstrations on faceting, cabbing, chain-making, wire-wrapping, bead-stringing and gem-tree creating. Club members will also provide lectures about minerals and demonstrations of gem polishing, geode cutting and more. The hospitality area will sell grab bags with mineral specimens, some of which could contain a faceted gem. Tickets for the geode raffle, door prizes and rock candy are in this area. Admission is free. Hours are Friday, 3 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 44th annual Hamfest is Saturday in the Graham Building. This is a huge electronic flea market for new and used amateur radio and electronic equipment. Amateur radio license examinations start at 9 a.m. Forums, construction projects and youth station are part of the event. Show hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $10.

Unleashed Mutt Spring Fling is Saturday and Sunday in Heritage Circle. This is a free spring festival for all family members, including dogs. Event features a huge doggie Easter egg hunt, games, contests, vendors and lots of rescue groups. Food trucks, gifts and more will be available. Also accepting donated items (food, supplies and cash) for local animal rescue groups. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Triangle Farms Spring Indoor III NCHJA “C” Indoors Show is Friday through Sunday at the Hunt Horse Complex. Daily show begins at 8 a.m. Spectator admission is free.

The 2016 Atlantic Indoor Association Circuit preliminary and finals color guard competition is this weekend in Dorton Arena. This is a competition of color guards and percussion units from North Carolina and Virginia. Hours are Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon for preliminary rounds. Admission for this round is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Finals are Saturday 1 to 10:30 p.m. Admission for this round is $20 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets available online.

And, of course, the Raleigh Flea Market is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Peruse the Commercial and Education building and outdoors grounds in search of your next treasure.

It would be hard for me to pick a favorite part of the Fair, but I can tell you one thing I hate - leaving it on the last day. I can't wait for opening day!
