One of my favorite things to do at the N.C. State Fair is peruse the products for sample and sale from the wide variety of vendors exhibiting around the fairgrounds. I also enjoy comparing the food concessionaire menus to find that perfect tasty treat.

With more than 850,000 attendees just as curious (and hungry) as me, the  Fair offers an excellent opportunity to bolster your business or brand. Think you might have a Deep Fried bestseller? Visit the vendors section of our Web site to download an application and information. But don’t wait — applications are due by July 1.

Indoor and outdoor spaces are available, with a minimum of 8 front feet at each location. Completing an application means that your organization will be considered, but not guaranteed a space. Since most vendors return every year, there is very little turnover. But, we are always on the lookout for new and interesting products that will be a hit with fairgoers.

To find out a little bit more about how we go about selecting new vendors, check out this interview I did last year with the vendor coordinator, Letrice Vines.

About Blue Ribbon

Natalie Alford blogged for the 2009-2011 N.C. State Fairs. This is her bio from 2009: I work at the Fairgrounds year-round, so I'm always in the middle of the fun! During the Fair, I work with the press office team to organize events and exhibits, and log a lot of miles on my pedometer. I'm also the County Agricultural Fairs Coordinator, which means I license, promote and visit North Carolina's agricultural fairs and enjoy thousands of blue ribbon entries every year. I hope to see you at the Fair!

  2. Do you know if the Marines are coming back in 2010 with their pullup bar? I felt I got short changed last year as they only counted 15 reps and I wanted 20. 2009 was the first year I saw them have the bar at their booth.
