Getting to go inside the bee cage, one of several Blue Ribbon Memories from the 2011 N.C. State Fair.
Thanks again to the 1,009,173 who came out for the 2011 N.C. State Fair. There was a lot to love about this year’s fair, and we had a great time going behind the scenes to bring you updates on the deep-fried food, exhibits, competitions and people that made this fair one to remember.
We are slowly recovering from all the excitement, and it won’t be long before we begin plans for the 2012 fair. At some point during the planning of next year’s fair, the details of this year’s fair will get fuzzy. We’ll still remember the sights, sounds and smells, but they won’t be as fresh as they are now.
Fortunately, there’s a way to preserve all the sights, sounds and smells of the 2011 N.C. State Fair to enjoy for years to come. I’m talking about Blue Ribbon Memories, the online exhibit created by the State Library of North Carolina, where you can upload your photos and stories about the State Fair. In addition, you can share external links to your blog or website about the fair.
Make sure you visit Blue Ribbon Memories today and preserve your fair memories before it’s too late. If you have trouble uploading to the site, check out the quick tutorial video below:
