Do you want to be our State Fair Street Team?

For the past three years, we’ve selected one fair fanatic to serve as our Deep Fried Ambassador during the State Fair. These bloggers were amazing, and we thank them for adding a new perspective to the fair. This year, we’re opening up a few more spots. We realize not all of our fans are bloggers. Some are really active on Twitter and Facebook. Others create their own food reviews on YouTube. And others are using new sites, such as Pinterest to share their interests with friends. Show us your Bumper Crop of Fun

Around here, we’re pretty big fans of The Peterson Farm Bros YouTube sensation,”I’m Farming and I Grow It.” If you haven’t seen this Internet phenom, check out the video below: The video has more than 6 million views on YouTube and has inspired an array of other farming parody videos, including Lil Fred’s “Farm It Maybe.” With all of the creativity across the country, we knew there had to be just as many creative people right here in North Carolina. As we get closer and closer to the Deep Fried Triangle Tweetup, we wanted to give you a little more information on what you can expect at the event beyond lots of tweeting, lots of friends and lots of N.C. (If you don’t have four cans on you, you can always pay admission at the gate.) Keep an eye here on the blog, on our Twitter account and on the Triangle Tweetup…

Social Media Breakfast Raleigh

We had a blast bringing the N.C. State Fair to you in lots of new ways last year, through Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and here on the blog. Social media allowed us to interact with fair visitors in a whole new way, and we’re already working on more ways to do that in 2009. Right now, we’re working on pulling together lots of facts, figures and stories about our social media campaign for March 24’s Social Media Breakfast in Raleigh. The Social Media Breakfast is a monthly meeting of Triangle (and beyond!) students and professionals who meet to discuss new…
