Weekend Update: June 26-28

Scaly critters and creepy crawlers invade the fairgrounds this weekend as Repticon hosts its Reptile and Exotic Animal Show in the Scott Building Saturday and Sunday. The convention will feature vendors from across the country, offering live animals, animal supplies and other related merchandise. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Jump for the Children Horse Show and more this weekend

This weekend, you can enjoy some of the best horse jumping on the East Coast and support the Duke Children’s Hospital at the Jump for the Children Horse Show at the Hunt Horse Complex. The horse show, which runs through Sunday, offers U.S. Equestrian Federation AA-rated hunter and jumper competitions each day. Free shows start daily at 8 a.m. Saturday, come out for the Duke Children’s Hospital Grand Prix, part of the Jump for the Children event. The show starts at 8 p.m., doors open at 6:30.
