The annual N.C. State Fair is less than 2 weeks away. The fairgrounds crew is busily preparing the grounds for the nearly 1 million fairgoers that will visit during the annual 11-day event. Check out these fun numerical facts about the 151st N.C. Recycling efforts continue to grow

Earlier this month, the N.C. Division of Waste Management announced that North Carolinians threw away less trash per capita in 2010-2011 than any time in the last 20 years. The report notes that the economy plays a big role in the amount of waste generated, but also recognizes the increasing role of recycling. At the N.C. State Fair, we’ve been doing our part.
