The official start of the 2016 N.C. State Fair is still 148 days away, but this weekend you can catch a fair vibe at the Got to Be NC Festival. Last year Casey Cardinal made his debut, check out what he’s looking forward to at this year’s festival. The Got to Be NC Festival opens Friday and runs through Sunday. Weekend Update: May 16-18

This weekend the fairgrounds is the place to be as the annual Got to Be N.C. Festival brings a mix of food, music, carnival rides and games, antique farm equipment and grandstand entertainment. Gate admission is free. Free grounds entertainment abounds (Part 2)

Last week, we brought you the first installment of our very busy entertainment lineup. Today, we finish it up with part deux. The racing pigs and the King BMX show are two of the most popular acts on the ground. We’re excited to bring back the Kenny & Amanda Smith Band to offer topnotch entertainment on the Bluegrass Stage.
