Weekend Update: March 28-30

Spring is in the air at the Spring Carousel Gift Market this weekend in the Exposition Center.  This show features art, crafts, food, clothing and more.  It’s one of the many events taking place at the fairgrounds this weekend: The Raleigh Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, featuring hundreds of dealers, craftsmen and booths. The Precious Gem and Mineral Show will be Friday through Sunday in the Scott Building. Weekend Update: March 30-April 1

It’s hard to believe we’ve almost wrapped up the first three months of 2012. That means the State Fair will be here before you know it. Sadly, it’s not this weekend. But, there are plenty of activities going on at the fairgrounds we think you will enjoy. The Wake County Library Book Sale started Thursday in the Graham Building with more than 450,000 items for sale. Bibliophiles and bookworms love this annual event, which benefits the Wake County Library.  Book prices range from $2-4 each. Weekend Events: April 1-3

As we gear up for the 2011 N.C. State Fair, Oct. 13-23, we’ll highlight some of the weekend activities at the Fair. Hopefully, they will inspire some of you to come out and enjoy the fairgrounds year round. The weekend starts on Friday at the Fairgrounds! Note: If video doesn’t play, try refreshing browser.
