Weekend Update: Jan. 27-29

The Triangle’s largest Chinese New Year Festival is this Saturday in Dorton Arena. Celebrate the Year of the Rooster with Chinese and Asian cultural performances on stage, exhibits, food and merchandise vendors offering arts and crafts for the entire family to enjoy. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is  $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Children age 6 and under admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at their website and at many local Asian grocery stores. Weekend Update: Jan. 22-24

Winter weather is playing havoc with events at the Fairgrounds this weekend. The Next Level Fight Club Mixed Martial Arts Competition scheduled in the Scott Building on Saturday and DogGoneFast Flyball Club Flyball Tournament scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in the Holshouser Building have been cancelled and will reschedule. The Raleigh Flea Market will be closed on Saturday. Be sure to check with the event organizer before coming to the fairgrounds to be sure it is still being held.
