Weekend Update: Sept. 25-27

It’s the first weekend of fall at the state fairgrounds, which means the N.C. State Fair is right around the corner. It also means that this the last weekend to enjoy the Raleigh Flea Market before in closes in preparation for the annual State Fair. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings and grounds host hundred of dealers selling antiques, furniture, bargains, collectibles and more. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  The flea market will reopen Saturday, Nov. 7. Discount N.C. State Fair admission tickets and ride books will be available this weekend at Gate 9…

Weekend Update: Sept. 27-29

This weekend features seven special events for dog and horse lovers, cultural enthusiasts and toy collectors. The Southern Ideal Home Show will fill the Graham Building and Expo Center this weekend. The home and garden event will feature hundreds of exhibitors who can answer questions about remodeling, decorating and landscaping projects. Attendees can also shop for home and garden resources. Event hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $9 for adults ages 15 and up and free for children 14 and under. Seniors ages…

Weekend Update: August 25-27

Friday through Sunday the Triangle Farms will host a NCHJA “C” Horse Show in the Hunt Horse Complex. The event will feature Hunter/Jumper style competition On Saturday, the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Greater Raleigh will host its annual Children’s Good News Spectacular. The event will be held in the Graham Building and will feature inflatable games and rides, popcorn, snow cones, drinks, an illusion show and several gospel presentations.
