Lizards and snakes and turtles, oh my! The Repticon Reptile & Exotic Animal Show is coming to the Scott Building at the Fairgrounds June 30 and July 1. Repticon is a reptile and exotic animal convention that showcases vendors from around the country offering live animals, animal supplies and related merchandise. Scaly critters and creepy crawlers invade the fairgrounds this weekend as Repticon hosts its Reptile and Exotic Animal Show in the Scott Building Saturday and Sunday. The NCHJA Annual Hunter Jumper Show comes to the Hunt Horse Complex June 25-29. Shows start each day at 8 a.m., with special classes held Friday and Saturday evenings. Admission is free for spectators. The Capital City Gun Show will be held in the Graham Building on Saturday and Sunday. This buy, sell and trade event will feature guns, knives, ammo, hunting supplies and other related merchandise. Weekend Update: June 29-July 1

If you’re headed to the fairgrounds this weekend, bring plenty of water because it looks like it’s going to be a scorcher. Stop by Saturday and Sunday for the weekly Raleigh Flea Market. Vendors will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily selling everything from watches and wingnuts to fresh fruit and furniture. Weekend Update: July 1-4

The holiday weekend at the fairgrounds kicks off today with the start of the NCHJA Annual Hunter Jumper Show at the Hunt Horse Complex.
