Weekend Update: March 28-30

Spring is in the air at the Spring Carousel Gift Market this weekend in the Exposition Center.  This show features art, crafts, food, clothing and more.  It’s one of the many events taking place at the fairgrounds this weekend: The Raleigh Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, featuring hundreds of dealers, craftsmen and booths. The Precious Gem and Mineral Show will be Friday through Sunday in the Scott Building. Weekend Update: Feb. 24-26

If you haven’t been to the Raleigh Flea Market this year, take advantage of the mild temperatures and explore hundreds of vendors at the largest flea market in town. While you’re at the fairgrounds, enjoy the rest of the special events and activities happening this weekend. The Native American Indian Art Show will return to the Holshouser Building Friday through Sunday. Fairgrounds events add culture, variety to the first weekend of spring.

By all accounts, spring will begin with a weekend full of beautiful weather. What better time for a family outing at the N.C. State Fairgrounds? With hundreds of events each year, the fairgrounds offers a variety of activities to choose from, and some of the more popular shows have a decidedly cultural flair. The India Fest Cultural Arts Showcase will take place in Dorton Arena Friday through Sunday. This festival has grown in popularity and size since its first year at the fairgrounds in 2004, expanding to a three-day event, and will kick off tonight with a live dance and music show featuring Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal….
