Weekend Update: April 25-27

Forget girl’s night out, have a ladies weekend at the N.C. State Fairgrounds as the Southern Women’s Show takes over the Graham and Expo buildings Friday through Sunday. This year’s show features vendors offering spa treatments and makeovers, clothes, jewelry and gifts, gourmet food and wine, travel ideas, beauty tips, health screenings, cooking classes, fashion shows and more. Weekend Update: May 4-6

The mercury’s rising in Raleigh and so are the number of fun events happening this weekend at the fairgrounds. We’ve got cheer competitions, cultural events and activities for all types of collectors. Read on to see what’s happening this weekend at the N.C. State Fairgrounds. Saturday, Dorton Arena will be full of high-flying kicks, handstands and lots of cheer at the Young Champions Cheer Regional Competition. Weekend update: May 6-8

If you’ve never been to a horse show at the Hunt Horse Complex, you will have two opportunities this weekend to enjoy the busiest equine facility in North Carolina and Virginia. The Tar Heel Plantation Classic will feature plantation pleasure walking horses competing in meets Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you want to see a variety of breeds, come to the Carolina Mane Event Saturday or Sunday.
