Weekend Update: May 6-8

Haven’t check out the Triangle’s newest professional indoor football team? This Sunday is your chance as the Triangle Torch returns to Dorton Arena to take on the Philly Yellow Jackets. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the game starts at 4 p.m. Box seats are $18 for adults and $13 for chidren. General admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children. Season tickets are also available. Other events this weekend: ReefSMART is Saturday in the Holshouser Building. This expo is put on by the nonprofit Sustainable Reef and consists of vendors offering goods and services throughout the day, raffles and a fragging demonstration….

Weekend Update: May 11-13

It’s going to be fairly quiet this Mother’s Day weekend at the State Fairgrounds, so come on out to enjoy the Raleigh Flea Market. The market is open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We’re also hosting a horse show, sports show and dog show this weekend. Read on for more details: The N.C. Plantation Pleasure Tarheel Classic will take place Friday and Saturday at the Hunt Horse Complex. Weekend update: May 6-8

If you’ve never been to a horse show at the Hunt Horse Complex, you will have two opportunities this weekend to enjoy the busiest equine facility in North Carolina and Virginia. The Tar Heel Plantation Classic will feature plantation pleasure walking horses competing in meets Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you want to see a variety of breeds, come to the Carolina Mane Event Saturday or Sunday.
