Weekend Update: May 5-7

Calling all bookworms! The popular Wake County Public Library Festival of Reading and Book Sale is this weekend in the Exposition Center. Books are copies that have been pulled from circulation or come from donations. All books are in good condition. Plenty of bestsellers are up for grabs, as well as cookbooks, textbooks and books on history and religion. Cash, checks and all major credit cards accepted. Admission is free.Customers can bring wagons and carts to assist with their purchases. Daily door prizes are given. Hours and Prices: Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m. & Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m….

Weekend Update: May 6-8

Haven’t check out the Triangle’s newest professional indoor football team? This Sunday is your chance as the Triangle Torch returns to Dorton Arena to take on the Philly Yellow Jackets. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the game starts at 4 p.m. Box seats are $18 for adults and $13 for chidren. General admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children. Season tickets are also available. Other events this weekend: ReefSMART is Saturday in the Holshouser Building. This expo is put on by the nonprofit Sustainable Reef and consists of vendors offering goods and services throughout the day, raffles and a fragging demonstration….
