Weekend Update: April 25-27

Forget girl’s night out, have a ladies weekend at the N.C. State Fairgrounds as the Southern Women’s Show takes over the Graham and Expo buildings Friday through Sunday. This year’s show features vendors offering spa treatments and makeovers, clothes, jewelry and gifts, gourmet food and wine, travel ideas, beauty tips, health screenings, cooking classes, fashion shows and more. Weekend update: April 22-24

We hope everyone affected by last week’s tornadoes is on the road to recovery. It has been heartbreaking to watch the news reports and see the destruction that left so many families without a home. The N.C. State Fairgrounds was fortunate and received little damage. Many of you were at the fairgrounds during the storm, and we’d like to thank those who have shared their photos with us. It’s a party for the whole family on Blue Ridge

West Raleigh is the place to be this weekend as our neighbor, the N.C. Museum of Art, hosts its grand opening celebration. But, that’s not the only thing happening on Blue Ridge Road this weekend; the fairgrounds will be full of activities for women, children, teens and clowns of all ages.
