Blog roundup: It’s (almost) all about the food!

It’s been a week since the record-breaking 2010 N.C. State Fair came to a close and I’m already having withdrawals. No longer can I just walk outside and get a deep-fried HoHo or pineapple lemonade. I’m already counting down the days until next year. Thankfully, I can relive the Fair through our Flickr page and YouTube videos. Another way to relive it is through others’ experiences. Craving deep-fried goodness, but can’t wait until October? We’re here to help. Carolina Ale House is a locally owned chain of restaurants with 14 locations across the Southeast. And while it may be a larger operation than other restaurants we’ve visited with Deep FRIEDays, its mission is still…

Craving deep-fried goodness, but can’t wait until October? We’re here to help. And, while you won’t find these foods at the Fair, you will find them throughout the year at our participating restaurants. Last Friday, we sampled deep-fried goodness from Papa Mojo’s Roadhouse. This week, we continue our search for local restaurants serving unique fried creations with another Durham establishment, Worth It Cafe. Located at the corner of T.W. Alexander…
