Weekend Update: Nov. 11-13

Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the Christmas Toy Exchange. This event is Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Scott Building. Admission is free. This event offers gently used toys, books and videos as well as holiday apparel and decorations. The Carolina Collector Auto Fest is returning for its 29th year this weekend. Cars will be on display in Dorton Arena, Graham Building and outside grounds. This swap meet includes more than 125 vendors, car corral for buying and selling, and car and truck shows. Saturday’s show features vehicles made from 1900 to 1979 vehicles and Sunday’s features an  open car show with all makes, models, domestic and imports. Jump for the Children Horse Show and more this weekend

This weekend, you can enjoy some of the best horse jumping on the East Coast and support the Duke Children’s Hospital at the Jump for the Children Horse Show at the Hunt Horse Complex. The horse show, which runs through Sunday, offers U.S. Equestrian Federation AA-rated hunter and jumper competitions each day. The Duke Children’s Hospital Benefit Hunter/Jumper Classic began Tuesday in the Hunt Horse Complex and continues through Sunday. The Classic benefits offers a behind-the-scenes look at how horses are cared for, trained and shown in addition to actual competitions. More than 125 vendors will be showcasing classic cars at the Carolina Collector Auto Fest. The event runs Friday through Sunday in the Dorton Arena, Graham Building and Exposition Center.
