Goodguys takes over the fairgrounds this weekend for it’s third annual North Carolina Nationals Giant Automotive Festival. Explore more than 1,500 candy-colored and chrome-plated 1972 and older hot rods, customs, muscle cars, tricked-out trucks and classics on display. Grab a seat in the stands or put your vehicle and driving skills to the test at the pavement-pounding Goodguys AutoCross timed racing competition. Weekend Update: March 10-12

Need a little variety? Head on out to the fairgrounds this weekend. We’ve got something for everyone. The Carolina Collector Auto Fest takes over Dorton Arena, the Graham Building and the grounds between the buildings this weekend. This event is celebrating its 31st year and will include a swap meet with more than 100 vendors, indoor and outdoor car corral for buying and selling. Jump for the Children Horse Show and more this weekend

This weekend, you can enjoy some of the best horse jumping on the East Coast and support the Duke Children’s Hospital at the Jump for the Children Horse Show at the Hunt Horse Complex. The horse show, which runs through Sunday, offers U.S. Equestrian Federation AA-rated hunter and jumper competitions each day. Free shows start daily at 8 a.m. Saturday, come out for the Duke Children’s Hospital Grand Prix, part of the Jump for the Children event. The show starts at 8 p.m., doors open at 6:30.
