Weekend Update: Dec. 21-22 and Dec. 28-31

The calendar year is winding down, as is the usual flurry of activity at the fairgrounds. It’s a good weekend to pick up a last-minute gift at the Raleigh Flea Market. The Commercial and Education Building and outside grounds will showcase more than 600 vendors offering antiques, collectibles, handicrafts, furniture, homemade goodies, clothing, jewelry and more on Saturday and Sunday. The fairgrounds will also host the following events: Capital City Gun Show: Saturday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Dec. 22, in the Graham Building. Weekend Update: June 14-16

This weekend packs a punch at the fairgrounds in Raleigh; whatever your interests, there’s sure to be something you’ll enjoy. The Tarheel Triple Classic Quarter Horse Show will stretch from June 13-22, including this weekend in the Hunt Horse Complex. The Maker Faire: NC show will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Kerr Scott Building. This creative display of American innovation will feature all things homemade, from cookies to robots. Weekend Update: Feb. 24-26

If you haven’t been to the Raleigh Flea Market this year, take advantage of the mild temperatures and explore hundreds of vendors at the largest flea market in town. Weekend Update: December 16-18

A variety of vintage sports trading cards and sports memorabilia will be on display at the Sportscard and Sports Memorabilia 3-Day Show in the Scott Building. The event will feature nearly 100 merchants and will be open Friday through Sunday. In the Graham Building, a variety of vendors will be selling guns, knives, ammo and hunting supplies during the Capital City Gun Show. The show will be held Saturday and Sunday. Weekend Update: June 17-19

This weekend at the fairgrounds kicks off with Maker Faire: North Carolina in the Scott Building on Saturday.  The event is designed to showcase all things home-made and entrepreneurial and to celebrate the American creative spirit.  The events will feature exhibits of handcrafted goods in a variety of categories from engineering and hacking to food and health and beyond.  Maker Faire will also include activities for kids and live music throughout the day.
