It’s a celebration of food and agriculture at the ninth annual Got to Be N.C. Festival.  Come enjoy a mix of food, fun, music, carnival rides, tractors and more. Gate admission is free. Highlights include: Homegrown Fare, sponsored by Lowes Foods, will be in the Exposition Center. Nearly 100 North Carolina companies will be sampling and selling their products. 8th annual Masonic Carolina Pig Jig BBQ Cook-off will be Saturday beside the Expo Center. Weekend Update: Jan. 8-10

It may only be January, but the Bass & Salt Water Fishing Expo in the Exposition Center and Graham Building this weekend will be the fishing event of the year. Whether you’re looking to restock the tackle box, find out how to fish the hottest lure on the market, buy the boat to put you on the water or simply come connect with other fishing enthusiasts, the Fishing Expo is for you. Got to Be NC Festival headlines a jam-packed weekend at the Fairgrounds

Fairgrounds visitors will have plenty of activities to choose from as the third-annual Got to Be NC Festival kicks off a full weeekend of events. The festival runs Friday, May 21, to Sunday, May 23, and will include hundreds of food and commercial vendors, agricultural exhibits, carnival rides and much more.
