TADA now at State Fairgrounds

Tuesdays at Dorton Arena (TADA) is now open Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Last Tuesday, a dozen or so vendors set up on the south side of Dorton Arena for the first of what organizers hope will become many more TADA moments at the State Fairgrounds. TADA, short for Tuesdays At Dorton Arena, is a smaller weekday version of the popular weekend Raleigh Flea Market.

Like it’s weekend cousin, TADA has a variety of vendors selling everything from handmade crafts and clothing to cell phone accessories and CDs. Each week, you can expect to find a different selection of items as vendors rotate out. If you have some things you’d like to sell, you also can become a vendor. More information is available on the Raleigh Flea Market’s website.

Our Facebook fans sent us their thoughts on TADA. Here’s what some of them had to say:

Great! We all work weekendsGatrells Cowboy-Up

Awesome!!Kevin Farrar

…I’m sure that “TADA” will work out once warmer weather comes around. I’ll be back, though. It’ll give me a good excuse to be at the fairgrounds…especially since I “love” that place in a way. LOL! 🙂Gregory E. ‘Rettaman’ Johnson

What are your thoughts? Will we see you at TADA this Tuesday?

About Bearded Lady

Paul Jones blogged for the 2009-2012 N.C. State Fairs. Here's his bio from 2009: Paul Jones, here (a.k.a. Bearded Lady). I love the N.C. State Fair. I love the rides, I love the food, but my favorite part of the Fair is the displays of the unusual. The two-headed snake, the world’s smallest woman, the world’s tallest horse and the list goes on. Originally from South Carolina, I hope that I can bring a different perspective to this blog as I shed light on some of the ordinary, yet extraordinary, aspects of this year’s Fair.
