T-shirts from State Fairs past: 2007

While making room for our new Fair intern, Paul, to start next week, we unearthed a pile of T-shirts left over from a few years ago. Each year, the T-shirt has a different look to reflect that year’s theme, logo and design. For a long time, they were just a solid color t-shirt (most often white) with the logo printed on it.

The 2007 Fair saw the debut of the very popular tie-dye T-shirt. Not for shrinking violets, these neon yellow and green tees reflected the “Seriously Twisted Fun” theme in more ways than one. You can also spot the roller coaster logo on the front. We’ve spotted Fair visitors in these shirts for the past two years, and we’ve even seen them at totally unrelated Fair events out and about in Raleigh.

About Cotton Candy

Karlie Justus - blogged for the 2008 / 2009 N.C. State Fairs. This is her bio from 2009: When I'm not blogging for the N.C. State Fair, I go by Karlie Justus--but Cotton Candy suits me just fine. My earliest memories of the Fair are of the times my parents would bring my brother and I up from Asheville, N.C. for a double dose of the Fair and a N.C. State football game. Fast-forward two decades later, and I'm a public information officer for the deep fried celebration whose must-see Fair attractions include the giant pumpkins, decorated cakes and deep fried Oreos.
