Something for the kiddies!

Diego, from the Nick Jr. show Go, Diego, Go! Appearing at the State Fair on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Here’s a little something for the kiddies. Diego Márquez, from Go, Diego, Go! will be walking around the Fair this coming Sunday, Oct. 26 from 2-4 p.m. Diego is an 8-year-old rough-and-tumble action-adventure hero on the go. Check out the promo commercial above.

Johnny Fishpatrick, mascot for stormwater runoff education. Appearing at Green NC throughout the fair.

Also, if you come by Green NC throughout the Fair, you may see Johnny Fishpatrick, the mascot for the Division of Water Quality’s stormwater awareness and outreach program. Rock-It is another cool character. This 9-foot-tall, high-energy robot strolls around Kiddieland each day. Then, of course, there’s Oscar the Robot, and Carrie McQueen the stilt walker, and Dale Jones the Juggler, and Washboard Willy, and Statue Viva, and…. How many other characters have you found walking around the Fair?

About Blue Ribbon

Natalie Alford blogged for the 2009-2011 N.C. State Fairs. This is her bio from 2009: I work at the Fairgrounds year-round, so I'm always in the middle of the fun! During the Fair, I work with the press office team to organize events and exhibits, and log a lot of miles on my pedometer. I'm also the County Agricultural Fairs Coordinator, which means I license, promote and visit North Carolina's agricultural fairs and enjoy thousands of blue ribbon entries every year. I hope to see you at the Fair!
