Social Media Breakfast Raleigh

We had a blast bringing the N.C. State Fair to you in lots of new ways last year, through Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and here on the blog. Social media allowed us to interact with fair visitors in a whole new way, and we’re already working on more ways to do that in 2009.

Right now, we’re working on pulling together lots of facts, figures and stories about our social media campaign for March 24’s Social Media Breakfast in Raleigh. The Social Media Breakfast is a monthly meeting of Triangle (and beyond!) students and professionals who meet to discuss new technology and media and how it’s being used by companies and individuals across the state and across multiple industries. It is open to anyone who has an interest in social media and its impact across all industries.

Not only will we be speaking at the breakfast, but we’ll be hosting it as well. We’ll meet at the Jim Graham Restaurant in the State Fairgrounds’ Jim Graham Building from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Murphy House Restaurant (who serves up many of the delicious and creative fried creations during the Fair) will have an a la carte breakfast available for purchase.
