Last day for “The People” to make their choice in the Farm Animal Frenzy contest

I Want You (to vote)!

That could very well be the call going out from high school art programs to friends, families and anybody else who gets the message. We are in the final day of voting for the People’s Choice Award winner in the Farm Animal Frenzy contest. Voting closes at midnight tonight.
The highly decorated animals that are part of the Farm Animal Frenzy competition between high school art programs have been good ambassadors for the Fair and for the schools. They attract plenty of attention on the grounds and elicit plenty of smiles.
Some schools have been busy getting out the word about the competition. Garner Magnet High School even took to the Web and other social networking venues trying to rally the vote.
If you haven’t been out to the Fair yet, you can look at photos online at Farm Animal Frenzy to view the animals and cast your vote. Just remember, you got to do it before midnight tonight!

About Merrie Go Round

Merrie Go Round is the midway alter-ego of Andrea Ashby, who has officially spent 252 days during the past 24 years at the N.C. State Fair. That's perfect attendance in case you were wondering. In addition to promoting the Fair, looking for untold Fair stories and working on various special events, I also spend a great deal of time roaming the grounds taking photos for the Website and State Fair publications. I like to keep my eyes and ears posted for the unusual and different things that make the State Fair such a great celebration of North Carolina people, traditions and history. I look forward to sharing with you the things I come across on my journey.
