It’s the weekend of the Goodguys annual car show at the Fairgrounds and it promises “hot roddin’ fun” with more than 1,500 1987-and-older hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks and classics on display. The event will feature cars, vendors and activities in the Graham Building, Exposition Center, Dorton Arena, Scott Building, Rand Grandstand, Martin Building and grounds. A free tram will run from Trinity Road parking lots to all Goodguys gates and the Raleigh Flea Market.
Grab a seat in the stands or put your vehicle and driving skills to the test at the pavement-pounding Goodguys AutoCross timed-racing competition. Shop more than 100 vendor booths and check out the huge swap meet and the AutoTrader classics car corral. Other events include live music, a kids zone, model car show and Saturday night demolition derby. Late model American-made or powered muscle cars, customs and trucks are welcome on Sunday for K & N Filters All American Sunday. Event hours are Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $17. Children ages 7 to 12 are admitted for $6. Ages 6 and under are free.
