With three-digit temperatures at the State Fairgrounds this week, you might say things are really heating up as we prepare for the 2011 N.C. State Fair. The temperatures have been sweltering in Raleigh recently, but the promise of cooler temperatures and fair-like weather is just three months away.
In case you missed it, we launched our new website last week. This is your one-stop shop for all the information about this year’s fair. We’ll continue to update it with the latest information on agricultural exhibits, food, rides, entertainment and competitions as we get closer to the fair. And, speaking of competitions…
We’ve received a lot of questions through Facebook and Twitter about the 2011 Premium Book, the resource guide for entering contests and competitions at the fair. The books are at the printer and should be available later this month. In the meantime, the online version is available on our website.
We’ve also received a lot of questions about this year’s concert lineup, and the wait is almost over. We’ll reveal the artists playing Dorton Arena this Friday. Be sure to check back then or sign up to get email updates directly in your inbox.
Things are really sizzling at the fairgrounds. Beside cooler weather, what are you most looking forward to at the fair?
