Fairgoers in the Know: Part II

Historically speaking, the last four days of the Fair are the busiest. As such, these are the heaviest traffic days as well. Experienced fairgoers have found that the easiest way to get to the fairgrounds on any day is to ride the bus. On Thursday, you can catch a bus in Raleigh, Cary and Durham. On Saturday and Sunday, service expands to Garner and RTP. Go to the Ride the Bus page on our Web site to find out more about times, prices and locations to catch the bus.

On the weekends, this is definitely the best option as the Highway Patrol makes a dedicated bus lane on Blue Ridge Road to move the buses to the fairgrounds quickly.

So, take the bus. You’ll save gas and save time looking for a parking spot. Plus, you get dropped off at a gate at the Fairgrounds, so you won’t have to drag yourself to your car after a long day of funnel cakes, footlongs and rides.
