A great shot of the Midway by Sterling E. Stevens
Last year leading up to the Fair, we featured photos tagged by our Facebook and MySpace fans. We’re bringing back that weekly feature to showcase the images our friends took during the the ’08 Fair. This week’s shot comes from Sterling E. Stevens, a Raleigh photographer who tagged several interesting pics of the Fair. Check out Sterling’s work on his Facebook fan page.

About Cotton Candy
Karlie Justus - blogged for the 2008 / 2009 N.C. State Fairs.
This is her bio from 2009:
When I'm not blogging for the N.C. State Fair, I go by Karlie Justus--but Cotton Candy suits me just fine. My earliest memories of the Fair are of the times my parents would bring my brother and I up from Asheville, N.C. for a double dose of the Fair and a N.C. State football game. Fast-forward two decades later, and I'm a public information officer for the deep fried celebration whose must-see Fair attractions include the giant pumpkins, decorated cakes and deep fried Oreos.

Are there limits on the types of cameras you can bring to the fair?
Or into one of the concerts at Dorton?
Nope, we don’t have any camera restrictions for Fair visitors on the general fairgrounds. At the Dorton shows, it often depends on the artists’ rules (flash, recording, etc.). We’ll know more as we get closer to the Fair.
