In addition to the returning acts (BMX bikes, racing pigs, poodles, clowns, etc), a few familiar faces will be returning to the State Fair this year after one- or two-year absences.

The Dazzling Mills Family at the 2005 N.C. State Fair
Al the Artist may not have a large presence–a small cartoon car is his only prop–but his absence from last year’s Fair was felt by many who have come to count a drawing by Al as a “must” on their Fair to-do list. Al and his pink car will be back to catch those who are “Wanted: For Having Too Much Fun At the N.C. State Fair.” Al roams around Kiddieland and surprises families with his offer to capture their fair adventures in a caricature.
The Dazzling Mills Family will be back with their high-energy family juggling act with a new addition: the soon-to-be-husband of daughter Michelle. Kris Groth is the newest member of the Dazzling Mills Family, taking the place of mom, Carol, who was injured several years ago in a car accident and no longer performs with the family. The Dazzling Mills Family will perform in front of the Expo Center.
The Mobile Robots will also make a comeback at the Fair this year. These furry creatures on tractors interact with fairgoers in Kiddieland.

We’re excited to see these acts back at the Fair, but we want to know what entertainers you’re most looking forward to. Drop us a line in the comments!
I’d like to see Julianne Hough perform in Dorton Arena. Julianne is a Two-Time Champion from Dancing With The Stars, has toured with Brad Paisley and George Strait and has just landed a starring role in the movie “Footloose” scheduled to begin filming next year. She does a great job with her Country Music and would be an excellent addition to the talent roster this year. Make it happen OK!!!
Thanks.
