Deep Fried Ambassador: Deep fried ride edition

This is a guest blogger post by our Official Deep Fried Ambassador, Ashlee. We’ll be reposting her State Fair adventures from her Miss Ashlee blog throughout the Fair.

You Spin Me Right Round

I’m a wuss.I’ll admit it.

I was 8 the first time we went to Disneyland and was scared out of my mind by something as simple as the teacups. My little sister, on the other hand, was fearless and on our trip to Knott’s Berry Farm rode Montazuma’s revenge with nothing but sheer joy. Crazy.

I don’t think I rode a roller coaster until I was nearly 13. And that was when I was with my two older sisters and I had to save face. It was terrifying.

Now, in my older and wiser years, I love roller coasters… but I still don’t enjoy things that spin you into oblivion… especially after I’ve consumed as much fry oil soaked items as I usually do while at the fair. And I’m typically broke. So for that reason,

I tend not to ride any rides at the State Fair.

I am a great cheerleader, bag holder, too small of child waiter, though. So if you need one of those… let me know.

This year did have to be different though! I mean, I’m the Deep Fried Ambassador!!!! So in the name of Ambassadorship and with ticket donations from French Fried Friends… I went on a few rides. But with all due respect to my fully fried belly, I took it pretty easy…

The Ferris Wheel is always a good safe bet, right?
I always enjoy the view!

Getting up the stairs of the Drag Race was a workout in and of itself… but the ride down was super fun! Can I put one of these in my backyard please??

Now that’s a ride I can get behind!
