Deep Fried Ambassador: Beverage edition

This is a guest blogger post by our Official Deep Fried Ambassador, Ashlee. We’ll be reposting her State Fair adventures from her Miss Ashlee blog throughout the Fair.

I’ll Drink to That!

Eating all that fabulous fried food can leave one feeling pretty parched. Finding something wet to quench the thirst is as easy as finding something fried… but you have to know your options… at least beyond lemonade.

There’s always Pappy’s Old Fashioned Soda. If you break the bank the first go round, you can get refills for only $2. And bring your mug back next year! It’s still good!

I was always a little hesitant to try the muscadine slushie, but then this summer on an adventure to find peaches, some French Fried Friends and I found muscadine ice cream! Wow was it good! So I highly recommend this little number for a tasty wet treat!

Milk… it does your body good.
And you get some if you milk the cow.
Or you can buy it in the Scott building.

Rootbeer (and floats) are always tasty

I still think this might be the best drink deal around… It really is a big bottle of water for only a $1. The slushies aren’t bad either! Just east of Dorton, I end up stopping by often!

When it actually cools down at night in October (it happens on occasion), my all time favorite thing to drink is warm apple cider while I watch the fireworks! But when it’s a little warmer, the cool cider or even the apple slushie are just pure deliciousness!

Bottoms up y’all!
