The State Fairgrounds will offer several events on “Black Friday” to accommodate holiday shoppers, and you won’t even have to wake up too early!
The Raleigh Flea Market will open a day early, and operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, for shoppers looking to buy locally made, unique and antique items. Do you have a left-handed friend on your gift list this year? Then check out one of the newest market vendors, That’s Not Right, located in the Commercial Building, for unusual and fun gifts just for lefties. The Raleigh Flea Market offers everything from gourmet spices to golf clubs and accessories.
In the Jim Graham Building, the Christmas Carousel Holiday Festival will offer a holiday experience for the entire family, featuring live music, Santa and cooking demonstrations. More than 250 exhibitors will sell original artwork and crafts, Christmas decorations, prints, pottery and more. The event starts at 9 a.m. on Friday and admission is $8.
On Friday from 6-10 p.m. in the Expo Center, the 41st Annual Carolina Designer Craftsmen Fine Craft and Design Show will open to the public. This show features crafts such as jewelry, sculpture, metal art, wearable fiber and blown glass. Admission is $7, but there are several discounts available, including one that benefits the Raleigh Rescue Mission. Bring a new, unwrapped blanket and receive $3 off the price of admission.
All events run through Thanksgiving weekend. Check our calendar of events for more details and information on other events taking place at the Fairgrounds.
